This article describes how to set up and use the LinkedIn Sales Navigator integration with Mixmax.

LinkedIn integration in the Mixmax Sidebar is available on the Mixmax Growth plan and above, but advanced Rules and multi-channel Sequences are available only on the Enterprise plan. Check out our pricing page for more information.

Currently, the Mixmax Sidebar in the Inbox is not supported for Outlook-based users. However, Outlook users can access the Sidebar People section in the Mixmax web app (including the LinkedIn tab).

Mixmax's LinkedIn Sales Navigator integration enables easier prospecting, icebreaking, and engagement for salespeople and customer success teams. You can now send LinkedIn InMail and connection requests directly from Gmail, including the ability to schedule social follow-up tasks based on engagement or time using Mixmax Sequences.

Requirements

  • Mixmax Growth or Enterprise subscription

    • You will need to be on our Enterprise plan to utilize LinkedIn Tasks in Sequences and Rules. Otherwise, the LinkedIn integration is available in the Mixmax Sidebar on our Growth plan. Are you considering upgrading? Visit our pricing page.

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator Team or Enterprise license

Connecting to LinkedIn

To connect LinkedIn Sales Navigator to Mixmax, simply click the LinkedIn "in" icon from the Mixmax sidebar in Gmail and sign in with your Sales Navigator Team or Enterprise account.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator insights are located on the People tab of the Mixmax Sidebar. Here, you can view your recipient's profile information, send a connection request, or send a personalized InMail message.

Send InMail from the sidebar

With Mixmax and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, you can send InMail messages directly from Gmail using the Mixmax LinkedIn Sales Navigator sidebar.

Sending InMail

Just click the "in" button to open an InMail compose window. From here, you can add a subject and body to your InMail message, including a signature. When you're done writing, just click the Send button.

Send a connection request

To send a connection request from the sidebar, hover your mouse over the three dots menu icon and select Connect.

You will then be allowed to edit the text of the connection request and send the invite.

Sequences

Schedule InMail or connection request tasks to follow up based on engagement or time as steps within a Sequence. Using Mixmax Tasks within a sequence requires the Mixmax Enterprise plan. After enabling the LinkedIn Sales Navigator integration, the following options will be added as stage actions:

When this stage is triggered within your sequence, a new Mixmax Task will be created for you to send a connection request to the recipient.

The Mixmax task will allow you to copy your optional message into the connection request, edit it to your liking, and send it. Read below for more information on completing LinkedIn Sales Navigator tasks in Mixmax.

When this stage is triggered by your sequence, a new Mixmax Task will be created for you to send an InMail to your desired recipient.

The Mixmax task will allow you to copy your optional message into the InMail message body, edit it to your liking, and send it. Read below for more information on completing LinkedIn Sales Navigator tasks in Mixmax.

Rules

With Mixmax's LinkedIn Sales Navigator integration, you can automatically create a Rule to create an InMail or Connection Request task. Using Rules to create Tasks requires the Mixmax Enterprise plan.

To set up a LinkedIn Sales Navigator rule, go to the Rules section of the Mixmax dashboard. Click the New Rule button to create a new rule. In the example below, we will set up a rule to send a LinkedIn Sales Navigator connection request when an email is opened 3 times.

1. Choose a trigger app

Click a trigger app under Mixmax, such as Email, Sequence, or Meeting, or select a 3rd-party service, such as Salesforce. For our example, we're selecting Email as our trigger app.

2. Select a trigger

In this example, we'll use My email is opened.

3. Choose a filter (optional)

You can filter for specific sequences, attachments read, recipients replied, etc. In this example, we'll create a LinkedIn Sales Navigator connection request when Number of times opened by one recipient is equal to 3.

4. Choose an action

Select Sales Navigator task Connection request. When this rule triggers, a new task will be created in Mixmax Tasks to send a connection request.

Completing LinkedIn Sales Navigator Tasks

When a scheduled LinkedIn Sales Navigator Rule or Sequence stage is triggered, an automated task will be created and added to your Mixmax Tasks dashboard. Mixmax Tasks are available on the Mixmax Enterprise plan. From the Mixmax Tasks Workflow, you can send your LinkedIn Sales Navigator Connection request or InMail.

If you added an optional message to your Sequence stage or Rule, you could click the Insert button to automatically copy the message to your LinkedIn Sales Navigator InMail or Connection request before sending.
