When a Mixmax user receives a cold outbound email, the Cold Email Shield automatically detects the email as cold outreach.
The cold outbound email is then removed from the user's inbox and labeled under Mixmax: Marketing > Cold emails.
Our detection can take a minute or two to run, and if we find that the message is in the trash, we just skip it.
An email notification will also notify the Mixmax user that the cold outbound email was filtered.
The sender also receives a polite auto-reply from Mixmax letting them know their email was filtered.
How to enable and disable Cold Email Shield
To enable Cold Email Shield, users can navigate to their Settings > Inbox Copilot page in the dashboard.
From there, users can toggle on Cold Email Shield.
To disable Cold Email Shield, users can toggle the setting off. They will be prompted to confirm that they want to disable the setting and must click "turn off".
After, Cold Email Shield will be disabled for the user account.
