This article explains how synced data from Mixmax is mapped to HubSpot Engagement fields.

When Mixmax activities sync to HubSpot Engagement types, data from Mixmax is mapped to specific fields for each Engagement type. Read on to learn more!

HubSpot Email Engagement type

This is how Mixmax Sent/Bounced/Received/Replied(externally)/Replied(internally) activity data is mapped to Email Engagement fields.

  • From

  • To

  • CC

  • Subject

  • View original <link to the Mixmax email>

  • Insight provided by Mixmax.

Mixmax user involved in the activity (e.g., email sender)

Owner

Contact or Lead involved in the activity

HubSpot Contact(s) associated with the email activity

Account or Opportunity related to the Contact

Companies and Deals associated with the Contact

Note: HubSpot Companies are equivalent to Salesforce Accounts, and HubSpot Deals are equivalent to Salesforce Opportunities.

By default, HubSpot associates Emails with the primary Contact’s Company and the five most recent associated open Deals.

Email direction:

Received (for received or external replies to a previous email) or Sent (for sent and bounced emails as well as internal replies to an email from a Mixmax user)

HubSpot Note Engagement type

This is how Mixmax engagement activities, such as Opened/Clicked/Downloaded emails, data is mapped to Note Engagement fields.

There is no dedicated field in HubSpot. This data will be added to the Note’s body.

By default, HubSpot API doesn't associate Notes with any Company or Deal. This association will come soon.

HubSpot Engagement title format

This is how engagement titles in HubSpot are formatted.

For emails sent individually:

  • New messages: "Sent (New): {subject line}"

  • Opens: "Opened: {subject line}"

  • Clicks: "Clicked: {subject line}"

  • Downloads: "Downloaded: {subject line}"

  • Replies from recipients: "Replied: {subject line}"

  • Replies you send to a chain: "Sent (Reply): {subject line}"

  • Original email received from an existing lead/contact: "Received: {subject line}"

  • Bounced emails: "Bounced: {subject line}"

For emails sent as part of a Sequence:

  • New messages: "Sent (New) [Sequence name]: {subject line}"

  • Opens: "Opened [Sequence name]: {subject line}"

  • Clicks: "Clicked [Sequence name]: {subject line}"

  • Downloads: "Downloaded [Sequence name]: {subject line}"

  • Replies from recipients: "Replied [Sequence name]: {subject line}"

  • Replies you send to a chain: "Reply [Sequence name]: {subject line}"

  • Bounced emails: "Bounced [Sequence name]: {subject line}"
