The Mixmax Insights totals will only display the Mixmax activity synced from Mixmax to Salesforce. To learn more about how activity is synced, see Syncing to Salesforce.

When it comes to the Mixmax native Report Builder, these reports will also include the data that is not synced to Salesforce, and they are filtered differently than the Mixmax Insights data.

FAQ

Why are the numbers different between the messages report in Mixmax and the messages report in Salesforce?

It is not expected behavior for your Salesforce and Mixmax reports to show the same data totals. Mixmax Insights will only show activities synced to Salesforce, whereas Mixmax Reports will show all activities, including the activity that is not synced to Salesforce.

Example: Let’s say you sent 5 emails to different recipients. 2 recipients are existing Contacts in Salesforce, but the other 3 do not exist in Salesforce. Since 3 recipients are non-existent in Salesforce, Mixmax will not sync any activity for these recipients to Salesforce.

As a result, Mixmax Insights would show you sent two new emails; however, the Mixmax native Report will show you sent a total of 5 emails.

Why am I not seeing all the emails I sent in the "Leaderboard - Emails Sent" Insights report?

By default, this report filters emails by the "Sent" Mixmax Type activity only, which is why only new emails you send are included in this report by default (New messages have the following subjects: “Sent (New): {subject line}“) and replies are not included in the report.

If you want to see all the emails you send, including replies, make sure you include “Internal Reply Email” in the Insights report filter:

Mixmax Type filter

You will see both new emails and replies (with subjects like “Sent (Reply): {subject line}“) in the "Emails Sent" report.
