Slack Integration

With Mixmax's Slack integration, you can create a Rule to notify a Slack channel when something happens in Mixmax. To do this, you'll need to be on the Growth plan

Here's how to set it up:

  1. Go to the Integrations page in the Mixmax web app, and click Connect to Slack.

  2. Enter your Slack credentials. (If you have difficulty at this point, you can Troubleshoot your Slack Connection.)
  3. Go to the Rules section of the Mixmax dashboard. Click the New Rule button to create new rule. In this example, we'll create a rule that notifies us on Slack when a Mixmax email is opened:
    1. Choose a trigger: Click an action under Mixmax such as Email, Sequence, or Meeting or select 3rd party service, such as DocuSign or Salesforce. In our example, we're selecting Email as our trigger.
    2. Choose the action based on your specific trigger. In this example, we'll use a recipient opening your email as the action.
    3. Choose a filter (optional): You can filter for specific sequences completed, attachments read, recipients replied, etc. In this example, we'll send a Slack message when an email is opened that contains the word Introduction in the subject line.
    4. Choose an action: Select Slack.
    5. Choose your preferences for the Slack action. You can choose to send a message to an existing channel, or create a brand new channel to post the message in.
    6. You can customize the message using the {{name}} and {{email}} variables, adding a random celebratory GIF, and choosing a card color for the message. Then click Activate & Close and your Rule is good to go!
