The Mixmax MCP server is in beta, available through Mixmax Labs at no extra cost. As it matures, some capabilities may move into specific Mixmax plans.
General
Q: Does this cost extra?
No. The MCP server is included at no additional cost while it's in beta. As it matures, some capabilities may move into specific Mixmax plans.
Q: Which AI tools does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Windsurf, plus any other MCP-compatible client. See Get started with the Mixmax MCP server for the full list and setup links.
Q: Do I need to be on a specific plan?
No plan restrictions apply to the MCP server while it's in beta. It may be associated with specific plans in the future. Meeting-related capabilities do depend on Meeting Copilot being enabled for your workspace.
Q: Can my AI take actions in Mixmax, like sending email or enrolling people in sequences - or is it read-only?
Both. Reads (meetings, sequences, calendar, engagement, and more) are on by default. Write actions - sending email, editing sequences, managing tasks and reminders - are opt-in, turned on individually in MCP settings. See Mixmax MCP capabilities and use cases for the full breakdown.
Q: How is this different from just using the Mixmax API?
The API requires technical integration work: code, webhooks, infrastructure. MCP lets any non-technical user connect Mixmax to their AI tool in minutes and interact with their data using natural language. It's the difference between building an integration and having a conversation.
Data & security
Q: Is this secure? Can the AI access other users' data?
Each person authenticates with their own credentials and can access only their own data— with full tenant isolation, secure token management, and rate limiting under the hood. Workspace admins can access workspace-level data - including sequence performance and meeting data for all workspace members.
Q: What data can my AI access, and what can't it?
With default read access: meeting summaries, transcripts, participants, and action items; sequence details, performance, and enrollment status; calendar events; and basic account and workspace information. Turning on write capabilities in MCP settings extends this to the data those actions need (for example, drafting an email). Not accessed, ever: your password, billing information, or other users' private data. See Mixmax MCP capabilities and use cases by area for the full picture.
Q: Does Mixmax store my conversations with the AI?
No. All data is scoped to the authenticated user, and Mixmax doesn't store conversation data from MCP clients. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
