Mixmax offers a discount to registered non-profit organizations: 20% off monthly billing or 10% off annual billing. We apply the discount to your subscription, and it continues as long as your organization maintains its non-profit status.
This article explains who qualifies, what we need from you, and how to apply.
Who qualifies
Your organization qualifies if it is formally registered as a non-profit, charity, NGO, or equivalent in your country, and no part of its income is distributed to owners, shareholders, or members.
It does not matter where in the world you are registered. We work with the register or the registration documents of your own country.
Organizations we can't include
The non-profit discount is reserved for non-profit organizations specifically. The following are outside it, even where they hold charitable status locally:
Schools, universities, and other educational institutions
Hospitals and healthcare providers
Religious organizations and congregations
Trade associations, professional bodies, and chambers of commerce
Political parties, candidates, and campaign organizations
Government agencies and departments
Individuals and personal fundraisers
Social clubs and sports clubs

What we need from you
Send us these six things. Most applications need nothing more than this — you usually won't have to send any documents.
Legal registered name — the name on your registration, not your brand or trading name
Country of registration
Registration or charity number
The registry or authority that issued it — for example, the IRS, the Charity Commission, the ACNC
Your organization's website
A short confirmation that your organization is a registered non-profit, that no part of its income is distributed to owners or members, and that you'll let us know if that status changes
One thing to check before you send: the registered name should match the billing name on your Mixmax account. If they differ — a trading name, or a recent rename — just tell us why, and that's usually the end of it.
How to apply

Open a pre-filled email request — this opens your email app with the six questions ready to fill in. If the link doesn't open your email app, just contact us directly and include the six items listed above.
What happens next
We look up your registration number in your country's public register and confirm it matches the details you sent. This is usually quick — expect a reply within one business day.
If your country has no public register, or we can't find your entry, we'll ask you for one document instead: a government-issued registration certificate, a tax-exemption letter, or an official extract from your national non-profit register. Allow about three business days in this case.
If your country doesn't require non-profits to register at all, tell us — we'll work with you to find another way to confirm it rather than turning you away.
Once approved, we apply the discount to your subscription and confirm by email.
Discounts take effect from your next billing cycle and don't change an invoice that's already been issued. If you've just been billed, mention it and we'll look at a credit for the current period.
How long the discount lasts
Indefinitely. There's no expiry date, and we won't ask you to re-apply or re-verify each year.
All we ask is that you let us know if your organization stops being a registered non-profit. If that happens, we'll give you reasonable notice before your subscription returns to standard pricing.

Can I apply before I subscribe?
Yes. Send us your details, and we'll confirm your eligibility, then apply the discount once your subscription starts.
Does the discount apply to every seat?
Yes, it applies to your workspace subscription.
We're on monthly and want to switch to annual. What happens to the discount?
Switching to annual billing removes existing discounts from your subscription, so email us when you switch and we'll re-apply your non-profit discount at the annual rate.
Our documents aren't in English.
That's fine. Just point out where the organization name and registration number appear.
We were declined. Can we ask again?
Yes — reply to the same email thread. If circumstances have changed, or you think we've misread your registration, we'll take another look.
