Tracking EEA Recipients

Why did I receive a reply, but not an open notification, for a recipient in the European Economic Area (EEA)?

To help you comply with the EEA’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) privacy law, Mixmax has a tracking setting to disable tracking for recipients in the EEA. If a recipient in the EEA replies to your email, it is safe to assume that they also opened your email. However, the email was not sent with tracking, so an open will not be shown in your Live Feed.

If the role setting “Disable tracking for recipients in the UK and EEA recipients for this role” is enabled, you will not see opens or clicks from people in the EEA.
