Outgoing Webhooks
With Outgoing Webhooks, you can send your email activities to any system that supports webhooks via a rule set up in Mixmax.
In the example below, we will set up a Mixmax rule to automatically add recipients to a Google spreadsheet using Zapier when they reply to our sequence email.
1. Create a new Zap in Zapier
Under Trigger, click Choose App. Then search for and select Webhooks by Zapier:
2. Choose a Trigger
Click Choose Trigger, select Catch Hook as the trigger, and click on Save + Continue.
3. Copy Zapier webhook URL
On the next screen, click on Copy to copy the webhook URL to the clipboard.
4. Create your Mixmax Rule
Go to your Mixmax Rules page and click Create a Rule.
From the Trigger menu, choose Email and select I receive an email on the next screen.
Next, choose a Filter and select Is a reply to sequence - then choose the desired sequence from the list and click Continue.
Next, from the Action menu, click Webhook.
This is where you paste the webhook URL we have previously copied over from Zapier.
Optional: Here, you can set your Transforms to specify which information to send to Zapier. See Mixmax Webhook Transform Language for more info. Or, leave it empty to receive the entire payload from Mixmax, then set your preference directly from Zapier.
Click Activate & Close.
5. Set up your Zap
Finish setting up your Zap from Zapier by adding a Zap Action to POST the data from Mixmax to a connected Google Spreadsheet or an App.
Be sure to test your rule so Zapier can have examples to pull from in order to continue setting up your Zap.
