Rules are available on the Growth plan and above. Visit our pricing page for more details.
You can use Mixmax Rules to add people to a sequence automatically when a specific condition is met. This is how it works:
Create a new Rule
Set up the Rule
Give your Rule a title first by entering it in the top left corner of the Rule modal window.
Next, set up the Rule. Each Mixmax Rule has three steps: Trigger, Filter, and Action.
Trigger
The trigger is what should happen for the Rule to start working. You can choose the trigger app based on your needs.
Filter
The Rule filter is the condition you can apply so that the trigger causes the action only in some instances, not always. You can add as many conditions as you'd like to set the filter criteria.
Action
Action is what happens if the Rule is triggered. To add recipients to sequences using Rules, you should always choose Sequence as the Action app and Add them to a sequence as the Sequence action. You will also be able to select a specific sequence where recipients will be added.
Example: You send emails with a Yes/No question asking potential leads whether they want to learn more about a particular product. You want to add users who answered "Yes" in the Poll to a sequence with follow-up emails dedicated to that product.
To do that, first, choose Poll as the trigger app, then select Someone answers a yes/no question as the Poll action, and add a condition that the answer has to be Yes. Then select Sequence as the Action app, set the Sequence action to 'Add them to a sequence', and select the sequence where you want recipients enrolled automatically.
When you are done with the Rule settings, click Activate & Close in the bottom right corner. That's all!
