Mixmax and SSO

This article describes deploying Mixmax in conjunction with a third-party Single Sign-On solution.

If you're curious about how Mixmax can be incorporated into an SSO (single sign-on) solution (like Okta, OneLogin, etc), please see the information below:

Mixmax does not use its own authentication system but relies on your Google Workspace authentication. Mixmax uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol to authenticate.

Before accessing Mixmax, users must accept Google's prompts to allow Mixmax access to their accounts.

Mixmax can be deployed in conjunction with a third-party SSO service. In this configuration, Google acts as the Service Provider, and your SSO solution of choice acts as the Identity Provider. Mixmax then sits downstream of this verification.

If users try to sign in to the Google Admin console or another Google service when SSO is set up, they are redirected to the SSO sign-in page. If a user is de-provisioned via your SSO solution, once that de-provisioning has taken action in your Google Workspace account, the user will no longer be able to log into Mixmax as we will no longer have valid Google OAuth 2.0 tokens for that user.

How can I reset my Mixmax password?

Since Mixmax relies on your Google Account's authentication, changing your Google Account's password also affects the secure login to your Mixmax account. So, to reset your Mixmax password, simply reset the password for your Google Account.
