Downloads tracking is available on the Mixmax Small Business plan and above. Check out our pricing page for more information.
For Outlook-based users, Downloads tracking is supported only for emails sent from the Mixmax web app. It is not supported for individual emails sent from the Outlook Inbox.

Traditional attachments are when your file is attached to the email rather than hosted online. While traditional attachments are not tracked by Mixmax download tracking, using traditional attachments can help improve the deliverability of your emails.
The file size of traditional attachments is limited to 25 MB due to Gmail's attachment size limit.
Want to send a larger file or track downloads? Send a tracked attachment.
In Sequences and Templates
In sequences and templates, you can use traditional attachments by unchecking the Tracked box shown below. This option is found in the sequence or template composition window when hovering over the paperclip icon.
In order to change a tracked attachment to a traditional attachment for existing sequences or templates, delete the existing attachment and then add a new traditional attachment.
In individual messages
To use a traditional attachment in individual messages, hover over the lightning icon on the bottom bar and uncheck the box to track downloads in the tracking menu. Then drag and drop your attachment onto the compose window or click the paperclip icon to get a file selection menu.
Whenever you drag and drop images or GIFs onto an email, they'll always be added to the body of the email. If you would like to attach images as traditional attachments, you must use the paperclip icon.
Use traditional attachments by default
If you would like to always use traditional attachments, you can disable download tracking by default in your Mixmax Tracking settings. Just uncheck the Track Downloads option.
Requiring users to use traditional attachments
If you are the Workspace administrator and you'd like to disable download tracking for all users, we've got you covered.
Go to your Roles page in the dashboard. For each Role, you can enable the Don't allow organization members to send tracked attachments option. When checked, users with this role will be required to use traditional attachments and not be given the option to turn on download tracking.
