Meeting Copilot for Google Meet

Transcribe your Google Meet calls so you never miss a beat with the help of Mixmax Meeting Copilot.

Mixmax’s Meeting Copilot handles the heavy lifting of online meetings — taking notes, summarizing key points, outlining action items, and drafting follow-up emails—so you can focus on the conversation, not the keyboard.

Enable the Meeting Copilot

Meeting Copilot is available for Mixmax Pro, Meeting Copilot, Mixmax Suite, and Mixmax for Teams. Visit our pricing page for more information.

Languages Supported: English only.

To enable Meeting Copilot for Google Meet, go to My Settings > Meeting Copilot.

From there, you can toggle the Meeting Copilot switch for Google Meet. Once enabled, Meeting Copilot joins your calls as an attendee and transcribes your Google Meet meetings, starting with your next meeting.

Settings

You can control which meetings Meeting Copilot should join by adjusting your settings. Choose to include only external meetings, meetings where you're the host, or other types of meetings — it's fully customizable to fit your workflow.

Calendar synchronization with Meeting Copilot can be delayed by up to 15 minutes. So, if a meeting with a Google Meet link is created or updated within the 15 minutes before the call, the Copilot may not be able to join.

Email Summary & Follow-up

After a transcribed meeting concludes, you will receive an email summary from [email protected] containing the meeting details.

Based on your settings, meeting notes will be shared with you or with all meeting participants.

To receive a meeting summary, at least 2 attendees must be present, and the meeting must last at least 2 minutes. If no conversation is transcribed for 10 minutes, the Copilot will automatically exit the Google Meet meeting.

The Meet Copilot will join and transcribe the meeting as long as it is enabled. If you remove the Copilot during the call, you will still receive a summary for the portion of the meeting when it was present. However, once a user removes Copilot from an ongoing Google Meet meeting, there is no option to add it back while that meeting is still in progress.

The email summary notification will include:

  • A summary of the meeting

  • Participants

  • Key points of interest and pain points

  • Next steps and action items

There will also be an option to "Generate follow-up email" within the email.

Clicking "Generate follow-up email" opens a pre-drafted email in Gmail's compose window, which you can then send to your meeting participants.

From that email, you can also access a dedicated page with the full meeting notes.

This will take you to the Meetings page, where you can view meetings you hosted, participated in, and were shared with you:

How to disable the Meeting Copilot

To disable Meeting Copilot, go to My Settings > Meeting Copilot.

You can then toggle the setting OFF. When doing so, you will be asked to confirm the disablement. Select "Turn off".

After that, Meeting Copilot will be disabled.

FAQ

Why didn't Meeting Copilot join my meeting?

Check the following:

  • The Google Meet toggle is on in My Settings > Meeting Copilot.

  • The meeting matches your Joining meetings settings, such as joining only meetings you host or only external meetings.

  • The meeting wasn't created or updated in the 15 minutes before it started. If it was, you can manually add Meeting Copilot to the meeting.
