If a meeting isn't already on your calendar, or Meeting Copilot doesn't join automatically, you can still add it to the call manually.
From an unscheduled Zoom or Google Meet call
Have a last-minute meeting pop up on your calendar? No problem! The Mixmax Chrome extension will detect when you join an unscheduled Zoom or Google Meet call and provide the following pop-up:
Click "Add" to invite the Copilot to your meeting. You'll still have to accept the Copilot into the meeting once it joins, just like you do on your scheduled calls.
You'll need the Mixmax Chrome extension installed to see this pop-up. If you don't have it, you can add Copilot from the Meetings page instead (see below).
If you've set the Meeting Copilot to automatically join your meetings, it will join any meeting scheduled more than 15 minutes in advance. See the Google Meet or Zoom settings to learn more.
If a meeting is scheduled or added to your calendar less than 15 minutes in the future, you'll need to manually add the Copilot using the pop-up or the method below.
From the Meetings page
You can also add Copilot to a meeting by entering its link directly on the Meetings page.
Go to Meetings in the left navigation.
Click Add Copilot to a meeting in the top left.
Paste the full Zoom or Google Meet link (starting with https://) into the Paste meeting link here field. Not sure where to find it? See Where to find your meeting link below.
Click Add.
Copilot will join the call at the link you provided the same way it joins scheduled meetings, usually within about a minute. You will still have to accept Copilot into your meeting once it joins.
Where to find your meeting link
You can grab the meeting link from any of these places:
Your calendar event: Open the event and copy the Zoom or Google Meet join link.
An ongoing Google Meet call: Copy the URL from your browser's address bar. It looks like https://meet.google.com/abc-defg-hij.
An ongoing Zoom call: Click Participants, then Invite, then Copy invite link.
If your Zoom meeting uses a passcode, make sure the passcode is embedded in the link, or Copilot won't be able to join. See Meeting Copilot for Zoom for the Zoom setting that does this.
FAQ
Why don't I see the pop-up when I join a call?
The pop-up comes from the Mixmax Chrome extension, so make sure the extension is installed and its site access in Chrome is set to On All Sites. If you've restricted the extension's site access, make sure meet.google.com and zoom.us are allowed. See Recommended Mixmax Chrome extension site access settings for how to check this.
You can also add Copilot from the Meetings page instead.
Can I add the Copilot back to an ongoing meeting after it's been removed?
No. Once you remove Copilot from an ongoing meeting, you can't add it back while that meeting is still in progress, including through the pop-up or the Meetings page.
