How to add recipients to a Sequence from Salesforce

This article describes how you can add one or several recipients to Sequences directly from Salesforce.

Sequences are available on the Mixmax Small Business plan and above. Salesforce integration is available on the Mixmax Growth + CRM plan and above. Check out our pricing page for more information.

Currently, adding recipients directly from Salesforce is not supported for Outlook-based users. To learn more about the Mixmax integration with Outlook, check out How to use Outlook with Mixmax.

Mixmax allows you to add people into Mixmax sequences directly from Salesforce! You can do it from any Salesforce application where Contacts or Leads tabs are available.

Make sure to connect to Salesforce in the Integrations section of Mixmax Settings to be able to add recipients to sequences directly from Salesforce.

Adding multiple recipients

To add multiple recipients to a Mixmax sequence, click the Add to Mixmax Sequence button in the Contacts or Leads tab. You can filter the list using different list views or simply check the boxes next to specific individuals if you want to add only some users from the selected tab and not all of them.

Next, select the specific sequence to which you wish to add recipients.

You'll be prompted to select the Salesforce fields you want to import as variables for personalizing sequence stages. Check/uncheck the boxes as you need.

The Email field is always required. If the sequence already contains some variables, you will also see the corresponding fields pre-checked and greyed out.

A new tab will open, and you will be redirected to the Add Recipients modal window in the Mixmax web application dashboard. See how to add recipients in the web app for more details.

To start sending sequence stages to added recipients, click Activate Recipients in the bottom right corner of the modal window.

You can also personalize sequence stages for each individual recipient or all the added recipients simultaneously.

At the moment, you can personalize only the automated email stages of your sequence. The Task stages can not be personalized this way. For more details, see how to personalize sequences.

To review and personalize automated emails for recipients before activating them in the sequence, click Review & Personalize in the bottom right corner of the modal window.

In the Review & Personalize window, select All recipients to personalize stages for all added users or click an individual email in the left column to do it for the selected recipient only.

That's it! Click Confirm and Activate to send the recipients the first stage of your sequence.

Adding an individual recipient

In some of the Salesforce apps, like Marketing, you can also add a single recipient to a Mixmax sequence from the individual Contact or Lead page.

To do it, from the Contacts or Leads tab, click the contact or lead you want to add as a recipient, then click the Add to Mixmax Sequence button in the top right corner of the page.

Next, just select the specific sequence to which you wish to add the recipient and follow the same steps described above as when adding multiple recipients.
