Mixmax Dialer is available as an add-on with the Mixmax Pro and Mixmax for Teams plans, and SMS is a separate add-on that requires the Dialer. To add them, contact our Sales team if you don't already have a Mixmax subscription. Otherwise, contact your Customer Success Manager (if you have one) or our support team.
Mixmax Dialer and SMS charges have two parts: an add-on fee for each member with access, plus usage charges for the phone numbers, calls, and texts your team uses. This article explains what each charge covers and how it's billed.
What you're billed for
Dialer add-on
Each member who makes calls with Mixmax Dialer needs the Dialer add-on. It's billed per member, as part of your Mixmax subscription.
The add-on comes in versions that also include Local Presence, international calling, or both, and the fee depends on the version. To learn more about these features, see Mixmax Calling.
Phone numbers
Each phone number your workspace holds has a monthly fee. This includes each member's personal number and the local numbers Mixmax adds to your workspace for Local Presence. Numbers outside the US and Canada cost more each month than US and Canadian numbers.
To stop paying for a number you no longer need, release it. Members can release their own number, and workspace admins can release any number in the workspace. Local numbers unused for 30 days are released automatically. For details, see Admin Dialer settings.
Call minutes
Calls are billed per minute, both for the calls your team makes and for incoming calls to your Mixmax numbers. Each call is rounded up to the nearest minute.
The per-minute rate depends on whether the call is outgoing or incoming, and on the country or region you're calling. Recorded calls also include a recording charge.
SMS
SMS is a separate add-on that requires the Dialer add-on. Like the Dialer, it's billed per member as part of your Mixmax subscription. Each text message is billed as usage on top of that.
To learn how to set up and send texts, see How to use SMS in Mixmax.
How usage is billed
Usage, meaning phone numbers, call minutes, and texts, is billed separately from your Mixmax subscription. You're billed for it after it happens, on its own invoice.
Where to see your usage and rates
Workspace admins can see the workspace's calling usage for the current billing period in Admin Center > Billing. To learn more, see Mixmax Calling.
For the rates that apply to your workspace, contact your Customer Success Manager if you have a dedicated one, or our support team.
