Admin permissions

This article describes what you can do as a Workspace Admin in Mixmax.

Updated yesterday

As a workspace admin, you'll be able to manage settings for all users in your workspace, access assets, data, and user activity regardless of membership in a workspace Team, and much more. We recommend granting admin privileges to select users who should manage the workspace.

Managing a Workspace

Workspace admins can access additional settings in the Admin center. These admin settings give workspace administrators additional controls over their workspace, such as billing, workspace-level rules, role settings, and more.

To learn more, see Admin Settings.

Workspace Teams

As a workspace admin, you can access all Teams that exist in your workspace without being required to join each Team. You can manage this from the Team Members section. To learn more, see Workspace Teams.

Reporting

As a workspace admin accessing the Reporting dashboard and Report builder under the Reports tab, you can report on all workspace members, teams, and assets. Admins have access to all user activity (regardless of team membership) and all workspace assets (regardless of sharing preferences). Admins cannot access other users' private activities in their workspace.

Live Feed

Workspace admins can view their own activity and other workspace users’ activity in the Live Feed. Private activity will only be visible to the activity owner, regardless of Role type (Admin or User).

As an admin viewing the Live Feed, you can switch between different views by selecting them from the View feed drop-down menu. You can select the following views:

  • Myself: displays only your own public and private activity.

  • Teams you belong to: display public activity for each given Team in each view.

  • All teams: displays public activity for your entire workspace, including users from all teams and ungrouped users.

  • You can use the search option to narrow down visible activity to only the activity related to a certain asset, user, or team in the workspace.

Non-admins can only see public activity for users in teams they are a part of.

Outbox

Similar to Live Feed, workspace admins can access non-private outbox activity for all users in their workspace under the Everyone tab. Non-admins can only see public activity for users in teams they are a part of.

Sequences

Admins can access and manage all Sequences and folders in their workspace, regardless of sharing preferences.

While viewing metrics for Everyone in the Sequences tab, Admins can view data for all users in their workspace using that Sequence. This applies to the following:

  • Sequences dashboard

  • Recipient activity list

  • Sequence report

Admins can pause or resume all recipients added to a sequence by other members in your workspace.

Templates

Admins can access and manage all Templates and Folders in their workspace, regardless of sharing preferences.

In the Templates tab, while viewing metrics for Everyone, admins can see data for all users in their workspace who are using that Template.

Rules

Admins can access individual Rules and Rule Activity for all users in their workspace.

By accessing the Rules page, admins can click an individual member in their workspace to view the Rules created by that member. Admins can view activity for any Rule and enable, disable, or delete Rules for a given individual.
